Meal Prep and Delivery for Homeless Neighbors, 9:45 am in Fellowship Hall

Join us as we gather in the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour to prepare meals to be delivered to our homeless neighbors. We will begin our time together with a presentation about the homeless crisis in Memphis and a time of prayer for our homeless neighbors. We will then pack food bags that will be delivered to those in need in our neighborhood.
The Missions Committee is asking the following Sunday School classes to provide the following:
  • Women of Faith: bread, peanut butter, & jelly
  • Connect 4: protein snacks (beef jerky, individually wrapped hummus & crackers, protein/cereal bars, nuts, etc.)
  • First Friends: bottled water
  • FaithElement: snacks (packages of chips, crackers, dried fruit, etc.)
  • Senior Adults: apples, oranges, grapes
  • Youth: socks, gum
  • Children: small hand sanitizers, small tissue packs

Worship with Lifeline & Greater Lewis Street, 11 am in Sanctuary

Rev. DeAndre Brown will be our guest preacher in worship. Pastor Brown is the founder and Executive Director of LifeLine to Success, a re-entry program for ex-offenders that equips them with the necessary tools to re-enter society. Pastor Brown founded LifeLine to success because he found his own re-entry, after 25 months in state and federal prison, to be very difficult and cluttered with obstacles. Instead of complaining about the problem, he and his wife, Vinessa decided to begin an organization dedicated solely to streamlining the re-entry process and advocating for justice. He is the pastor of LifeLine to a Dying World Ministries, a place that teaches the Word.
