The next congregational conversation is coming up on November 17 from noon-2 pm in the Fellowship Hall, and the focus will be missions. For this conversation, we will be building a visual of all of the church’s assets, including finances, physical plant, relationships, leadership, and individual talents. This will allow us to see the church as it is and to consider its purpose in and maximum potential impact on the community.
Please plan to contribute to the visual and to read through what others have posted to be able to respond to the following questions around the tables:
- What do we notice from the asset mapping exercise (for example, what assets are we using well? Too much? Not enough?
- Given our responses, how is FBC already making a big impact on the surrounding community?
- How might FBC better use its assets to make a bigger impact on the surrounding community?
Since we will be talking about mission, the Missions Committee is requesting that we engage in mission by bringing diapers and pull-ups (any size) for Hospitality Hub to the congregational conversation.
Barbecue will be provided for lunch.
Childcare will be available. Please RSVP to Holly Hatton to reserve your child’s spot. Parents will be invited to drop their kids off at the playground following lunch.
Grace and peace, Laura
