FAQs

What is Worship Like?

Worship is reverent but warm, utilizing hymns, piano, pipe organ, various solo instruments, soloists, vocal ensembles and choir. We align our worship with the seasons of the Christian year and the pastor usually preaches from one of the lectionary texts for the day.

What Time Are Services?

Sunday: 9:30 a.m. Bible Study for all Ages; 11:00 a.m. Morning Worship

Wednesday: 7:00 pm Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal

Is Childcare Available?

The presence of children is a gift to the Church. They are valuable members of our faith family and we welcome them into this house of worship. We have age appropriate care and activities for every child during Sunday School (9:30-10:45). Our nursery is open during the 11:00 worship service for infants and toddlers. The nursery is located out the doors to the left of the pulpit and down the hall. Our nursery workers will be happy to assist you. Extended Care is provided for children ages 3-4 and for 5-year-olds who have not entered kindergarten. These children will sit as a group with our Extended Care leaders on the first pew in the right section. All children through 5th grade are invited to the front of the Sanctuary to participate in our Children’s Sermon. Our preschoolers will leave for Extended Care after this.

What Should I Wear?

Dressy Casual is the most prominent style, though many families still come in their “Sunday best.” You should wear whatever is comfortable for you, knowing that the church is more concerned with “why you’re there,” than “what you wear.”

How Do I Get There?

The church’s address is 200 E. Parkway N., Memphis TN 38112. We are located at the corner of East Parkway and Poplar Ave. across from Overton Park.

Where Do I Park?

While we have some parking off of East Parkway, and on the North side of our building, our primary lot is located behind the church, off of Crestmere Place. We encourage you to park here. Here we have spaces reserved for visitors near our main entrance.

Where Do I Enter?

On Sundays, we encourage you to enter at our main entrance marked by the large porte cochere in the back of our building. There are parking spaces reserved for visitors near this entrance. Any of the three doors under the large porte cochere will lead you to our Welcome Center. From there we will be happy to help you find your way to a Bible Study Class (at 9:45) or to the Sanctuary for Worship (at 11:00).
