A year ago this past Sunday I was hit by an SUV as I attempted to cross a busy downtown street. I am grateful still to be on this side of the grass. I want to share my celebration with you because so many of you reached out to me or asked how I was feeling the next time you saw me, even though you had only laid eyes on me once before the accident happened. I even received a lovely bouquet of flowers from concerned FBC folks!
This is FBC: care for people who are hurting, even those you don’t know well. I wonder how you’re living that out right now in this time of physical distancing. I’ve heard some anecdotes, and I know there are many others. I give thanks for the many ways you show Christ’s love.
